Department of State, PennDOT Announce DOS Voter ID Available to All Voters with One Trip to PennDOT
 
The Pennsylvania Departments of Transportation and State today announced voters can choose to receive either secure PennDOT IDs, or Department of State voting-only ID cards, when visiting a PennDOT driver license center to obtain photo ID to vote under the state's new voter ID law.

Secretary of Education Announces 2011-12 PSSA Results
 
As a result of the statewide investigation of adults making changes to students' answer sheets on the Pennsylvania System of School Assessments, combined with increased testing security measures put into place earlier this year, statewide scores on the 2011-12 PSSAs declined slightly from last year, Secretary of Education Ron Tomalis said today.

PennDOT Issuing Free Department of State Voter ID Cards at Driver Licensing Centers
 
Since the Pennsylvania Voter ID law was enacted in March, PennDOT has been working closely with the Department of State to ensure that every voter has the opportunity to obtain photo identification. Starting today in Pittsburgh and statewide on Aug. 28, voters who lack verification documents necessary for a secure Pennsylvania Photo ID (non-driver's license ID card), will be able to obtain a new Department of State voter identification card for free by visiting a PennDOT Driver License Center.
