Opening Day of Trout Season 2011
 
Harrisburg, PA - Anglers from 18 southeastern counties are gearing up for the April 2 opening of trout, which marks the unofficial start of fishing season. The 18 counties open April 2 include: Adams, Berks, Bucks, Chester, Cumberland, Dauphin, Delaware, Franklin, Juniata, Lancaster, Lebanon, Lehigh, Montgomery, Northampton, Perry, Philadelphia, Schuylkill, and York.

Governor Corbett Sends Defunct Tour Bus to the Auction Block
 
Making good on his commitment to reduce the state-owned vehicle fleet, Governor Tom Corbett today sent the "white elephant" of the fleet to the auction block: a 1991 tour bus that has cost Pennsylvania taxpayers more than $66,000 in spite of it being driven less than 26,000 miles in eight years.
