Jackpot-Winning Powerball Ticket Worth $456.7 Million Sold in Lancaster County
 
The Pennsylvania Lottery today congratulated Speedway, 675 Lancaster Road, Manheim, Lancaster County, for selling the jackpot-winning ticket from the March 17, 2018, Powerball drawing. The ticket won Powerball's eighth-largest jackpot on record, worth a $456.7 million annuity value or $273.9 million cash, less applicable withholding.

Scam Warning: Cyber Criminals Posing as IRS Officials to Steal Fraudulent Tax Refunds
 
The Pennsylvania Department of Revenue today urged taxpayers and tax professionals to take extra precautions to protect their computer systems and data following recent reports of several tax-related scams. One new scam involves cyber criminals filing falsified tax returns and obtaining fraudulent tax refunds from taxpayers by posing as Internal Revenue Service officials and debt collectors.
