DEP and North-central Partners Restoring Streams for Seventh Consecutive Year
 
Nine streams in eight northcentral counties will soon be cleaner and healthier, thanks to restoration projects funded by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) and carried out by the DEP, Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission, and nine conservation organizations.

York - At a ribbon cutting ceremony celebrating the grand opening of a relocated Fine Wine & Good Spirits Premium Collection store in the West Manchester Town Center in York, the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB) today announced new Sunday hours and the debut of Pennsylvania Lottery sales at Fine Wine & Good Spirits stores across Pennsylvania.

Governor Wolf's Week, July 31 - August 6, 2016
 
This week, Governor Wolf continued the fight against the opioid abuse epidemic in Pennsylvania. Governor Wolf, along with Department of Human Services Secretary Ted Dallas, visited four of Centers of Excellence and discussed the significant investments made in the 2016-17 budget to combat the opioid abuse epidemic across the state. Governor Wolf and Secretary Dallas visited Gateway Rehabilitation Center in Allegheny County, Esper Treatment Center in Erie, Penn Foundation in Bucks County, and Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia.

DEP Hosts Kick-off Ceremony for Ehrenfeld Reclamation Project
 
Pittsburgh, PA - U.S. Department of Interior Secretary Sally Jewell and Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) Acting Secretary Patrick McDonnell led a special event today to mark the beginning of work to remediate and reclaim an abandoned mine site in the community of Ehrenfeld, Cambria County. Work on the 62-acre site will also bring 40 jobs to laid-off coal workers

Pennsylvania Selected to Host State Transportation Innovation Council Roundtable Discussion
 
Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) Secretary Leslie S. Richards today joined US Department of Transportation Deputy Secretary Victor Mendez, Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) Administrator Gregory Nadeau and FHWA Division Administrator Renee Sigel to showcase the Pennsylvania State Transportation Innovation Council (STIC). Pennsylvania was chosen to host because of the success of the Pennsylvania STIC.
