New Farm-To-Shelf Display Draws Connection Between Food In Stores To Farms Where It Originated
 
Harrisburg, PA -The 2016 Pennsylvania Farm Show features a new display portraying the journey from the farm to shelf, visually connecting the consumer to the supply chain. The Weis Markets' Farm-To-Shelf pod was officially unveiled earlier this afternoon in the Weis Expo Hall at the Farm Show Complex and Expo Center.

After 100 years, the tradition runs deep, but the venue was new and the focus on the future for today's opening of the 2017 Pennsylvania Farm Show in Harrisburg. Future agriculture leaders and young people representing the state's major commodity products joined Governor Tom Wolf, Senator Bob Casey, Rep. Harrisburg, PA - The Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) today urged all Pennsylvanians to test their homes for radon, a deadly radioactive gas that's the leading cause of lung cancer in non- smokers in the United States. DEP also urged residents to take action to reduce radon levels in their homes if they are high.

$3.3 Billion in Payments to Schools, Counties and Human Service Organizations Will Be Available Beginning Tomorrow
 
Harrisburg -The Pennsylvania Treasury today announced it has completed sending out all of the 16,400 expedited payments totaling nearly $3.3 billion and that school districts, counties and human service organizations could begin to receive their delayed state payments as soon as tomorrow
