Governor Corbett Signs Legislation to Benefit Pennsylvania's Veterans
 
Harrisburg - Governor Tom Corbett today ceremonially signed seven pieces of legislation that will benefit Pennsylvania's military veterans and Pennsylvania National Guard. "Today is about honoring a debt; a debt earned in blood and sacrifice," Corbett said. "These bills are various in their goals. But they share the single purpose of repaying part of the debt we owe to those who have guarded our freedom and place their very lives between us and our enemies.''

Governor Corbett Sends EMS Personnel to Assist with Hurricane Sandy Recovery Efforts
 
Middletown - Governor Tom Corbett today met with 50 emergency medical services personnel who were on their way to assist the residents of New Jersey with Hurricane Sandy recovery efforts. "We are fortunate to have emergency medical services resources available to help a neighboring state that has experienced such devastating outcomes from Hurricane Sandy," Corbett said. "Their goal is to assist those in need, while ensuring we are still able to operate safely in Pennsylvania."

Former Penn State President Graham Spanier charged in "conspiracy of silence;" Gary Schultz and Tim Curley face additional charges
 
Attorney General Linda Kelly and Pennsylvania State Police Commissioner Frank Noonan today announced that criminal charges have been filed against former Penn State University President Graham Spanier, who is accused of conspiring with other top university officials to conceal information about suspected child abuse involving Jerry Sandusky, along with obstructing the criminal investigation into this case, perjury before a grand jury, endangering the welfare of children and other related crimes.
