ADVISORY - LEHIGH COUNTY - Department of Aging to Unveil New Tool for Screening In-Home Care Workers to Increase Hiring Transparency and Protect Older Adults

Pennsylvania Department of Aging Secretary Jason Kavulich will announce a web-based platform for the Commonwealth's 52 Area Agencies on Aging (AAAs) that will rate and verify hiring and screening practices of in-home care providers that contract with Pennsylvania's aging network.

Secretary Kavulich will be joined by Lehigh County executives and Lehigh County AAA to discuss how the new screening tool will be used to build confidence in in-home care services, empower families and their loved ones to make informed decisions and protect older adults from abuse, neglect and fraud.
