The Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) announced more details today about the funeral arrangements for Corporal Timothy J. O'Connor Jr., who lost his life in the line of duty on Sunday, March 8. The services will be held at St. Joseph Parish, 338 Manor Avenue in Downingtown. Public viewing is scheduled for Tuesday, March 17th, from 4:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 18th, at the same location; however, this service, along with the burial service, will be closed to media and the general public. Commonwealth Media Services will provide a livestream of Wednesday's funeral service at https://pacast.com/live/psp. The service will also be available on PSP's Facebook page. While the service itself will be closed to the public at the request of the O'Connor family, a media staging area will be across the street from St. Joseph Parish, next to Downingtown STEM Academy, 347 Manor Avenue. Media can access the staging area at Campbell Drive from Manor Avenue, as indicated in the map above. Media must be in the staging area no later than 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 18th. Access to the media staging area will be closed and secured after that time. Media still in the staging area after 12:30 p.m. must wait to move their vehicles until after the funeral procession to All Souls Cemetery is finished.
