Governor Josh Shapiro and Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) Secretary Cindy Adams Dunn will celebrate the grand opening of Laurel Caverns State Park with local leaders in Fayette County. Spanning 435 acres and centered around the largest and deepest cave in Pennsylvania, the park will be Pennsylvania's 125th state park and the first subterranean state park in Commonwealth history. Since taking office, Governor Shapiro has strengthened Pennsylvania's outdoor recreation economy, creating 12,000 jobs and boosting wages in the outdoor workforce by nearly 25 percent.
