Lieutenant Governor Austin Davis and Lieutenant Colonel George Bivens, Acting Commissioner of the Pennsylvania State Police (PSP), will welcome 69 new troopers tomorrow, May 15, during a graduation ceremony for the 175th Cadet Class.Lieutenant Governor Davis and Lieutenant Colonel Bivens will address the graduates, who are part of the fifth class to graduate from the PSP Academy without a college credit requirement for the position of trooper. The Shapiro-Davis Administration waived the college credit requirement for applicants in August 2023, which resulted in a nearly 60% increase in cadet applicants.Federal, state, and county dignitaries, along with representatives from various law enforcement agencies, will attend the ceremony at LCBC Manheim.
