Secretary of State Kathy Boockvar reported that Pennsylvania's voter registration total is 8,908,777, an apparent record high. The deadline to register to vote in the Nov. 3 election is Oct. 19.Secretary Boockvar also announced that counties have approved nearly 2.5 million mail ballot applications, and 95 percent of those ballots have been mailed, or are about to be mailed, to voters. About 92,750, or just under 4 percent, of those ballots have already been voted and returned to counties.In addition, the Department of State has received 51,565 poll worker interest applications since the primary. "I'm really grateful to the citizens of this commonwealth who are volunteering to be poll workers in record numbers," Secretary Boockvar said.
