Attorney General Josh Shapiro met with Chief Merrill of the Altoona Police Department to discuss efforts to reduce police staffing shortages, improve recruitment efforts, and public safety resources. The AG has previously called on the legislature to set aside funding that would provide an innovative and immediate response to address this historic public safety staffing shortage.
